I would like to be able to customise an invoice template so it matches into my current branding. I've noticed Xero offer this and would be a great improvement to keep brand consistancy.
Been using Sage Business Cloud for 2 years now, and it still has not caught up with the functionality I had on my old QuickBooks 2013 desktop package which sadly won't work on Windows 10 / 11. Not happy !! Need facilities NOW !!!
It would be great if this could be added ASAP, but in the meantime please could the current templates be amended:
I'm using Midnight (Product), and in the top company fields, 'Telephone' is followed by a ':', but 'Website' and 'Email' are not - it doesn't look aesthetically correct to me - please could all three be followed by ':'?
Being able to adapt the language seems to be something pretty basic when working with clients from different markets. I’m especially surprised that you can configure the default texts for the emails (when sending an invoice) in 2 different languages, but according to the Sage Customer Support you CANNOT use the secondary language. Awkward.
I would really like to be able customise invoice layouts to include changing font colours, font sizes throughout the invoice, add and arrange my own fields to include Supplier reference codes etc.
I tried to create a Nominal Code for Intangible asset but Sage Business Cloud does not have intangible asset Category although the intangible asset shows on the Balance Sheet. So where can we display intangible assets of the business?
I consider being able to emit invoices in different languages adapted to the customer such a basic. We're in a globally interconnected world. The thing that bothers me is that at Sage you must have all the languages defined and ready already, as you sell Sage on different markets. It should be such an easy thing to make these different language versions for invoice templates available. Stunned.
We wanted our Sage Line 50 to be transferred across to Sage Cloud Accounts. Our invoice usually has our company name logo as a banner strip that runs from left to right across the whole page and when we try to attach our company logo, it won't let us do barely anything with it and it looks minute and looks ridiculous
I moved over from Quick Books as my accountant said that Sage was more user friendly. Quick Books allowed me to create different templates for different services, where the level of information required varied. Sage don't appear to have understood this requirement by only offering a one template option.
Even something as basic as 'save as' from one of the given templates....then you can name it your own and cusomise it. Being able to edit the data fields is essential..im working with migrated data and its pulled in some rubbish fields from the old contacts in sage50 that i have no way of changing wihtout editing the customer details!!!!!!, not being able to select which fields to use seems pretty restricted atm.
I'd like to make the switch from Quickbooks, but the fact that invoices are not customization is keeping me from making the transition. It would be great to have a lot of templates to work with, with the option of choosing columns.
We are an accountancy practice and have similar concerns from our clients who we recommend SageOne to. Sometimes clients are reluctant to move across to SageOne because of this!
Sage is lagging well behind QuickBooks! Why are there no options to add custom fields or upload your own template for invoices. The branding options are terrible as noted below. I have to include Delivery Note numbers and Dept Contacts so that the Accounts Dept can match up the invoice with the delivery.... no way of doing this on Sage apart from typing in manual notes on each invoice. Needs resolving NOW!
Agree with many comments - we're new to sage and was looking forward to using the template function only to be highly frustrated with the poor options of customisation. e need the template to match our branding. We have two strands to the business and it would be advantageous to be able to have a template for each which clearly isn't possible. Also the ability to resize and reposition logos is essential and not available. I'm saddened to see that this thread has been going for 2 years! Please sort this out!
We need to be able to add a new reference field to record Sales Consultant initials and then to report on it through Sales Daybook reporting. This small change will make a big difference to our ability to track errors, commissions etc
Where is this functionality? I remember having a discussion with my Sage Account manager about 3 years ago and it was "imminent"!
This has been something you've been able to do with Xero for years.
This is going to make or break our decision to move our Sage 50 Accounts to Sage Accounting or go with Xero instead.

Voto por uunas facturas mas sostenibles.

It would be a great idea if you could upload y=invoice templates from Line 50 V28 onwards.

this would be very helpful to be able to customize invoice and quotes.
