The system closes the company when it determines you've been inactive for an undetermined period of time. I've had it close within minutes of entering data. It doesn't give you an option to continue, and you lose whatever you were in the middle of doing, as well as it closes any reports you were had open. It doesn't log you out of Sage, only closes the company you have open. This happens whether the company is Shared or not, and it seems to happen randomly, there seems to be no set timer.
