Allow Sub-Accounts in the COA

Sub-accounts that you can minimize for reporting would be super helpful

The ability to hide accounts that are no longer being used (inactive) is extremely important. I can't get the visable thing to work if there was an entry in that account in the past.

The option is in Sage 50, so if Sage accounting is supposed to be better and easier, how come that option is missing? It makes the financial statements too clustered to read.

We're a new business that started up in January. It is August and we're just getting around to setting up accounting. We went with sage online for what we thought was value. It was recommended by our accountant but we must have picked the wrong one. We're not quite finished setting it up and I can already tell this is a mistake and should have paid more and gone with quickbooks. Having sub accounts are very important for reporting. I can't believe this isn't a feature. You get what you pay for.

For Financial Stmts - Sub accounts are extremely important, for owners to understand how they are spending their money and your online system does not allow for sub accounts or a work around either.

Please add this feature, we just brought over 4 companies and were going to add more however without this feature we can not move any other companies.

I agree with the previous comments. Not able to subgroup accounts makes It very difficult and a manual process to identify types of group accounts on both the balance sheet and income statement. I as well would vote for this a thousand times and question the "Sage geniuses" why this is not a thing yet? I do not consider this to be a "New Idea". I have used other Sage products over the years and this is available.

If I could vote for this a thousand times, I would. Why is this not a thing yet?

This is very handy especially as Sage Cloud is not uploadable to Caseware (which is the most widely used accountant software program with leadsheets).

Being able to print a balance sheet with groupings makes it easy to figure out payables like payroll remittances and GST.
