Make audit trail by transaction number and not the date of the entry

I was trying to find an entry that was done today but was a back dated transaction. Because you have to put a date range in everything on this system you cannot just bring the audit trail up showing everything entered today despite the transaction date, which defeats the object of an audit trail. Stop having to put date ranges in all of the time or have an option like on Sage 50 where you can search by choice but also have the whole lot if you want.

I use a printout of the Audit Trail to keep track of any amendments I make by making brief notes alongside the transaction info (handy to look back at sometimes or for the accountant), which works well if they were input within the current working...
