Because future direct debits, and payment transactions are entered in advance, but never summed up in a running daily balance column next to the transaction column in the Sage transaction register, it is very difficult to see the daily balance and compare it to the Bank's balance. When I run a report I get only the sum of transactions including future-dated ones, so I don't know how much money I have on any one date! The Sage bank transaction list needs a running balance column immediately adjacent to the transaction list. If needed this can appear only when the transactions are listed in order.
