Sage app can read it using OCR built in software and the amount entered straight into app. Adds some functionality since you have to take the photo of the receipt when uploading it into Sage mobile App anyway..
To avoid handling receipts physically during COVID-19 times, after lunch in a restaurant it would be great to just take a picture of the receipt which would then be uploaded into the cloud. The scanner should ideally have character recognition capabilities. One then maps the scanner to the correct accounts and when this is scanned again for another transaction then this is automatically allocated.
