Add a manual backup/restore facility to Cloud Accounting

If I make a mistake or Sage has a catastrophic meltdown it is useful to have a local backup. I used TAS before Cloud Accounting and we took local weekly backups that were useful occasionally to restore to a point before an error. It feels uncomfortable not to have that safety net in Cloud Accounting and would not require any additional storage from Sage.

I also think it would be very important

It's hard to believe this capability isn't available. This is a critical component of any serious software system. We're now reconsidering our decision to go with Sage.

Seems to be a must have! I can't imagine putting all my eggs in one basket without being able to make a backup.

This would be a great safety net. If a mistake had been made you could go back to a previous backup to see where an error had occurred.

Definitely makes sense to have this !

Through bitter experience with Sage 50 there has been many times when testing options/switches/posting etc that I have gone oops. lets do a quick roll back!

Totally agree with this suggestion. I’m really quite uneasy NOT being able to say “whoops, I shouldn’t have posted THAT...”, or even being able to “test” a particular posting.

It almost feels like it should be an easy addition to the “restore” function that’s already there, but the couple of times I’ve tried it, there would seem to be no ability to restore, other than if you’ve accidentally “reset” back to a blank ledger.
