It seems ridiculous that an accounting package that includes stock control does not include a stock valuation report.

Could definitely do with being able to get a stock valuation figure, it really is essential. All the information is there, quantity and cost on each product, but for some reason there is no way of getting a total figure for each item or overall valuation of all stock held.

Definitely a basic requirement. There's a similar request for a Stock Valuation figure with quite a few more votes, but a simple cost x qty field for each line item and a total at the bottom would potentially achieve both purposes. Easy win?
