I am using Business Cloud Accounting Start. It would be useful if a bank feed receipt could be split/ analysed as income (positive) and bank fees (negative). At the moment when splitting a receipt negative values are not accepted.
This would be useful for receipts like GoCardless where they remit the net of the income after deducting their fees. This will be increasingly useful as electronic payments continues to increase.
I agree with the above, in addition my electronic Payment provider, Square, also provide a Gift Card facility, which, when used, is deducted from their Remittance. This means that I am unable to fully analyse my sales and I have to resort to using Journals, which could result in potentially more than 1 journal for each remittance. The ability to input a negative amount would enable me to post to Sales and Expense Ledgers.
